About Us
What is a LINk?
A LINk, or Local Involvment Network, is an independent organisation made up of community groups, carers, service users, patients and individuals just like you. Leicester LINk can help influence and improve local health and social care services. Each area that has a Local Authority with social care responsibilities will have a LINk. Each if these LINKs can work independently of one another or work together on special issues.
How Do They Work?
The purpose of every LINk is to involve the local public and patients in how their local health and social care services are delivered and run. By speaking with the service users the LINk hopes to find out what is being done well, and what is being done badly. It can then take this information to the service providers and help them to improve the service they deliver. But to do this we need your help.
